A Passion for Nursing Education
For Dr. Norma Forbes, teaching is more than a profession—it is a lifelong passion. With over 30 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to educating, mentoring, and preparing students for successful careers in professional nursing.
Throughout her journey, Dr. Forbes has taught in Licensed Practical Nursing and Licensed Vocational Nursing (LPN/LVN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs.
Her commitment to education has taken her to Sheridan Technical College, Florida International University, Keiser University, Dade Medical College, and Florida Vocational Institute of Nursing and Technology.

Dr. Forbes’ passion for learning extends beyond the classroom. In February 2021, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), marking another significant milestone in her professional journey.
However, behind her accomplishments lies a personal story filled with challenges, sacrifices, and determination. Her path to success included unexpected roadblocks, setbacks, and the emotional difficulty of being separated from her family while pursuing her dreams.
Despite these challenges, she remained committed to her goals, demonstrating the power of perseverance and resilience.
